This one wasn’t really that thought out, but I want to hear what people think of it.

Here it is:

Lincoln wants to stay out after curfew with his friends at night, but he can only do so if one of his older sisters accompany him. After being rejected by Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan, he goes to Lynn, (knowing that she’s the most lenient of the five teenagers), and asks her to accompany him and his friends so they can stay out later after curfew. She agrees to this, wanting her brother to have fun. After a few nights of this, the girls notice that Lynn is being taken advantage of and tell her to put her foot down the next time Linc asks her to join him and his friends. That next night, Lincoln asks her if she can stay with him and his friends after midnight, and Lynn firmly says no. Lincoln, thinking that she’s just in a bad mood, goes out with his friends anyway and they all have fun playing at the arcade. They go back to Lincoln’s house half past midnight and are surprised to see that their parents are all there. The kids get a talking to and the parents agree to only ground them for the weekend because it’s their first time sneaking out at night and they don’t want to come down too hard on them since they’re all 11-12 years old. Lincoln and his friends ask how they found out and Lynn reveals herself and tells Lincoln that she had to inform their parents because he was going too far with the late curfews. Lincoln apologizes for taking advantage of her and they reconcile

The hug lasted longer than either of them expected it to. Not in a bad way, but in a needed way. Lincoln had cried himself out for about 15 minutes, without interruptions from the other girls surprisingly. 

After he cried his eyes out, Lincoln wiped his teary eyes on his arm, still sniffling a little.

“You, uh…alright after all that?” Lynn asked.

“Yeah,” Lincoln said, giving a small nod in acknowledgment to his sister’s question. “I think so.”

Lynn raised an eyebrow, not fully convinced by the statement. “You think so?”

Lincoln gave a tiny shrug.

“I mean, I got it off my chest, right? That’s gotta count for something.”

“Maybe so.”

There was a brief pause between them before Lincoln spoke up again. 

“Hey, Lynn?”

“Yeah, bro?”

“Why do Lori and Lola get so mad? I mean, Lori’s always been bossy, but never in the manner that she’s been in lately. And Lola goes from happy to furious in a matter of seconds. Why is that?”

The jock froze. She wasn’t expecting her brother to ask this type of question, especially when it came to Lori. But considering how observant he was, Lynn knew that Lincoln would have asked this question sooner or later. 

The brunette sighed. “Welp, I figured you would’ve asked someone this question sooner or later. Anyway, to answer your question, Linc, Lori gets mad sometimes because of hormones. You do know about those, right?”

“Yeah, a little bit.”

“What do you know?”

“Um, I know that I’m gonna get taller? That’s what Dad told me, anyway.”

“Yeeeeah, that’s what I thought. Don’t worry, I’ll give you a crash course on hormones. Basically, they’re things in your body that, uh…allows you to become a teenager. It involves voice changes and stuff.”

“That’s it?” Lincoln asked. 

“Not entirely. Hormones also affect your mood too.”

“Is that what Lori is dealing with?”

“Yeah. Plus being the oldest one out of us stresses the hell outta her.”

“It does? I thought that she was just being a control freak.”

“I thought so too, bro. I realized that I tend to do similar things when I’m stressed out too. Teenage life sometimes sucks.”

“What about Lola? Does she have hormones too?”

“Technically, yes. But she’s too young to start puberty yet. I personally think that her anger is just from her being a kid and her extreme personality. But that in no way excuses how her and Lori’s tempers have affected you negatively.”

“Thanks, Lynn. It’s just that with Lola, I’m more frightened by that fact that she’s as strong as she is when she and Lana are barely half my height. As for Lori, she’s twice my height and when she or our parents get really mad at me, it’s a bit intimidating having to have taller people looming over you. I know that’s not anyone’s intention, but to me it sometimes comes across that way. With you it’s easier ‘cause we’re the same height and I can tell when you’re mad compared to when you’re being playful.”

“Plus I’m closer with you than you are with Lori. It’s been that way since we were babies, and Lori knows that.”

“Yeah.”

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Lincoln hugged his sister again, but much gentler this time. Lynn hugged him back and ruffled his hair a little. After a few minutes of silence, Lincoln spoke up again. 

“I think I’m just gonna go upstairs and read some comics in my room,” he said. “Kinda just wanna…chill out for a bit.”

Lynn nodded. “Good idea. You look exhausted, Linc.”

Lincoln gave her a small smile. “Thanks again, Lynn. I needed this.”

“Anytime, little bro. Now go have fun.”

Lincoln stood up and headed up the stairs, his pace slightly slower than it usually was, but the jock knew from experience that he was just a little tired after crying his eyes out for so long. She’d dealt with that herself more than once before.

Now Lynn was in her room. Fortunately for her, Lucy was in the vents chatting with spirits again, so the jock didn’t have to worry about interrupting her younger sister with whatever she was up to. Despite Lucy being a very emotionally intelligent person, even more so than her, she was still an 8-year old girl at the end of the day. And Lynn didn’t want to confide in an 8-year old about what Lincoln had just told her half an hour ago, even if the goth girl did know about what he was enduring. 

But Lynn was still furious. Incredibly furious.

She wanted to tell someone about this, preferably Luna. Since she’s the one Lincoln most often confides in when Lynn herself isn’t around, and the athletic brunette wasn’t gonna waste time any longer. 

Lynn immediately went to Luna and Luan’s room and knocked on the door. Luna answered it immediately. 

“Hey, LJ. What’s up?”

“Luna, we gotta talk.”

“HE SAID WHAT?!”

“Yeah. And get this: he’s been dealing with this crap for a couple years.” Lynn replied.

“WHAT?! Bogus!” The rocker exclaimed. 

“You’re tellin’ me.” The jock responded. 

“What’s your game plan, LJ?”

“I was thinking that we could start by standing up for Lincoln and starting to show more of an interest in what he likes. Then we’ll go from there.”

“Good idea.” Luna said. 

Before they could continue their discussion, Luan walked into the room with a smile on her face.

“Hey, Luna! Wanna hear a-oh! Hey, Lynn. What’s up?”

Luna and Lynn looked at each other before turning back to the comedian. 

“Luan, we gotta tell ya somethin’…” Lynn said.

Luan was utterly stunned and speechless.

“I-just…wow. Just wow. I can’t believe that we did those things to him. And the threats of violence make me physically sick thinking about, considering that I did threaten him once before.”

“When was that?” Lynn asked.

“Remember when he borrowed your bike and it got stolen as a result?”

“Yeah?”

“Well, immediately after you left on the pink bike for your stunt competition, I cracked my knuckles as I put my fist in Lincoln’s face and said that he’d “better not let Colonel Crackers get stolen”.”

Luna winced. “Way harsh, Dude.”

Luan sighed. “Tell me about it.”

Lynn clenched her fists at her sides. “That’s done. We’re done doing that crap.”

Luna and Luan couldn’t agree more. 

“Let’s inform Leni about this.” Luan said.

“Good idea. She’ll be a huge help.” Luna replied.

The three teens went to Lori and Leni’s bedroom and Lynn knocked on the door. Leni happily answered it.

“Hey, girls! Wanna see some of my new fashion designs?”

Lynn, Luna, and Luan looked at each other before turning their attention back to Leni.

“Actually, Leni. We need to tell you something…” Luan said solemnly.
