Anyone have their automatic breathing seem to stop for a period during sleep?

I took my first dose of nortriptyline (Teva) 10mg last night for post-concussive symptoms and slept very hard. About two hours before I actually got out of bed, I woke up and noticed that it felt like my automatic breathing wasn’t kicking in normally. Whenever I started drifting back to sleep, it seemed like my body wouldn’t automatically take the next breath, so I would have to consciously breathe and it would wake me back up. This happened for a period of time and made it difficult to get back to sleep.

Eventually it seemed to go away enough that I was able to fall back asleep for another hour or so. I’ve also been extremely tired/groggy today.

I’ve experienced a similar “manual breathing” sensation with a couple of other medications in the past and ended up discontinuing them. I’m curious whether anyone here has experienced anything similar when starting nortriptyline, and if so, whether it was temporary and went away as you adjusted to the medication.

Edit: noticed the auto mod post for manufacturer, unfortunately it’s not allowing me to update the title though I did add it in after nortriptyline in the first paragraph.

Anyone switch to topical LDN, then successfully transition back to oral?

My provider recommended starting with a very low-dose topical LDN because I had significant side effects with oral LDN. I started at 0.5 mg through AgelessRx and actually noticed some benefits, but unfortunately the increase in anxiety was too much for me.

Since Ageless doesn’t offer ULDN another practitioner discussed switching to topical. She recommended the topical route because she said she’s had patients who couldn’t tolerate oral LDN start very low with topical, gradually increase it, and eventually transition back to capsules once they were tolerating naltrexone better.

I’m curious if anyone here has actually done this. If so, how long did you use topical before transitioning back to oral? And were you able to tolerate oral better afterward? I back searching the group but questions/answers on the topic are very limited.

Issues with throttled charging after a power outage

I was routinely getting 7 kW charge rate at home, and never really payed attention until my estimated charge time doubled. Checked the Ford app and I was getting 3.5 kW charging from home. Called the dealership and they told me to take it to a public charger to narrow down if it’s the Mustang or the outlet. Fast charger charged at normal speeds, then found a public (level 2 charger I think?) and was getting 6.5-7 kW charge rate. Thought I had narrowed it down to the outlet, but decided to try charging at my cousins shop. 3.5 kW there unfortunately. He also let me have his level 2 ampure charger and both his and my charger are charging at 3.5 kW at his shop and my home. Feel like it’s narrowing down to the Mustang itself now.

Anyone have experience with this? Wont be able to get more information until Monday when the service department opens. Was hoping someone here may have some experience with this specific issue. I have also deleted my home location and reset it that way but still no dice.

How can I make my Mach-E alarm more sensitive after a recent break-in?

Hello all,

Let me first say I love my mach e, despite this post and the last post being not-so-fun subjects. I will post a picture at some point.

Someone went through my mustang at a local gym. It’s been like pulling teeth trying to get staff to review the camera footage. So I have no idea if anythings been found despite this happening a week ago. It looked like they may have pried my window down a bit and messed with the interior (it was cracked due to being warm out but I did not leave it as low as when I returned). One thing was stolen as well. Through this I’ve learned the seats can be adjusted at any time whether it’s on or my keys are anywhere near it. I’m sure it is some younger kids, but what can I do to make it super sensitive? My key was in my jacket and I’m hoping at that distance (I’d guess at least 60-80 ft away if not more) it wouldn’t auto open for them.

TIA!

Will interior temps exceeding 130 damage electronics or leather? Bed bug situation :/

Hello all,

TLDR: 3 weeks after bed bug treatment at home an adult was found with new bites, pest control advised me to turn my cars heat up on high and ensure interiors get above 130 F for at least 30 minutes. Will this damage electronics or the leather interior? Also can I extend climate control on high heat for 40-50 total min (to ensure temp is reached before clock starts)? Two questions.

One of my least favorite posts in my history on reddit. Bought my 2023 MME in late March. About a month later I started having bites and discovered bed bugs in my house. I’ve had an ex who had them in the past so I’m always precautious. I had it treated with Apprehend 3 weeks ago and started having more bites and found an adult so pest control said they’d need to treat with Apprehend again. To check off some additional boxes, pest control also advised me to heat my car to >130 degrees F for >30 min. I’m concerned this may have an aging effect on the leather and the electronics, though I believe car testing includes high heat conditions. Will the extend climate on plug allow me to do that anyways? I don’t believe I could leave the car on for 40-50 min without me in it, but have never tried.

Any tips or suggestions on going about this would be appreciated!

They said they could spray my car with apprehend, though it would become ineffective much faster to due high external heat conditions (90 today where I’m at).
