I’m looking for a lightweight, compact and reasonably capable (multi)drill (EU)

Does Makita offer small and compact drills that get most every DIY job done, even if the exceptional jobs may only be completed in a pinch?

Examples:

  1. Bosch Professional PSR 12V-32FC
  2. DeWALT DCD701

These drills have interchangable pieces that let you drill close to an edge or at a 90° angle in a tight spot. Liking the Makita brand but not sure if I can get this with Makita. I don’t care if it is 18V or 12V on a principal level, but as a rule of thumb it is 12V drills that fit my criteria. Feel free to suggest 18V if that’s where it’s at.

Did I make this surface uneven by brushing corrosion and rust off with a wire cup drill attachment?

I used a drill mounted wire brush to remove the corrosion and rust with the intent of making it sit more flush once mounted.

Is it possible that I removed too much material and made the surface worse?

I guess I will know when I fit them to the car and go for a drive, but I’m not at that point yet. Any advice before I fit them to the car could be very useful and save some time.
