Couldn’t be happier [E7L]

Just finished converting my old IKEA desk with the E7L frame. This is just a bit of a review of the frame.

Way more stable than people insinuated online. With 3 27” monitors arm mounted and full size PC tower mounted to the desk there is very minimal movement when shaking. I can lean on it too and it feels like a solid desk. Granted my desktop is borderline the smallest size this frame allows, legs are right against the edges.

Assembly was also much more straightforward than I read. Frame assembly and motor cabling was very straightforward. Even with a custom desktop I just measured out myself how long O wanted the frame to fit the surface and screwed it down (no guide holes). One downside is there is slight unevenness where my desk plates line up but again that is partly the result of a DIY surface and can be fixed with mending plates.

I will say it was quite difficult to find a CPU mount that fit both the size of my PC and the little surface space left under the desk due to the frame being central. Happy with end result though.

Went down the rabbit hole

My monitor broke on Friday so went to look for a new one. Ended up going down a rabbit hole and ended up with 2 new monitors, monitor arms, a bunch of cable management extras and an E7L frame. Excited to get it all built up, planned a bit of my cabling already.
