I was 21 when my husband and I got married, he was 23. We are both Filipino and he was in the US Navy. Now I am 24, he filed for a divorce cause he cheated behind my back with my best friend.

I am going through a divorce and I don’t want it but I can’t do anything about it also. I can’t also call my friends cause they have their own lives also. I always have panic attacks every time I wake up in the morning. I have been suicidal since I was a teenager but my family and friends don’t take it seriously cause the last time I had an attempt was years ago. My husband cheated on me and his mistress was my best friend. They both betrayed me and they are planning to file a case against me also. These days, I am planning how to end my life cause I want to stop the pain and everything I am feeling. I don’t understand why would they do this, my best friend and my husband. Why. Why. Why. I went back to Ph to study Nursing, my husband and best friend are both in San Diego. My husband suffered anxiety depression and he committed something in the Navy that is why he was in a court-martial. I asked my best friend to help me and talk to my husband while I am away. That is when it all started. My best friend would post on her IG stories while holding hands with someone, she did not include the face but I know it was my husband. I asked her who is that etc and she told me it’s her suitor, the head nurse she’s telling me about. Ofc I believed her, I believed them cause my best friend and husband wouldn’t do any of that with me right? Then I saw a ticket in my husband’s expedia account. My husband’s name and best friend’s name going to Florida, to my mother in law’s place. That’s when it hit me. I confronted them but they are denying any of it. I asked my husband’s family but they don’t reply at all. I search my best friend’s relatives in social media and I saw my husband there in a picture sitting beside my best friend with my best friend’s family. Now, they wanted to file a case against me also. I am so depressed, having panic attacks every morning. I just want this pain to go away.

I already signed the divorce papers last year, but I don’t know if it’s already finalized or what cause I cannot contact my husband and he won’t update me. Also, the address he put for me in our divorce papers was his relatives address here in Ph. I don’t even know if he really filed for a divorce cause I can’t search it on San Diego Court Records.

Hi everyone, please respect my post. I’m looking for some legal advice. I am a foreign spouse (currently outside the US) and my husband was a sailor in San Diego (separated 2025).

He claims he filed for divorce in December 2024, and his family had me sign papers in August 2025. However, the papers I signed had NO case number on them. Now, he has blocked me, changed his number, and his family won't talk to me. So I don't have an idea if we our divorce is finalized. I’ve checked the San Diego Superior Court Family Law Index and our names return 'No Results Found.'

Questions:

1. If the papers had no case number, does that mean they were never actually filed with the court?
2. He says the divorce was 'expedited' because we had an online marriage (Utah/Courtly). Is that a real thing in California, or is he lying?
3. Since he is now out of the military (US Navy), who can I contact to verify if I am still legally married to him?
4. If a divorce was finalized in 2025 or 2026, would it definitely be in the public index by now?

I just want to know if I am still legally his wife so I can figure out my rights. Any help is appreciated.
