Five UPS stores closed in MS and AL with no warning.

I'm late on this, but I have a couple of questions regarding the 5 UPS stores that were closed two weeks ago. My 75-year-old mother had a box at a UPS store in Alabama that closed with zero warning.

1- The UPS store that closed recently ran a special that if you renewed you mail box for this year, you could renew for an additional year at a reduced rate. My mother has essentially paid for 2.5 years at a store that no longer exists. How does she get her money back?

2- What in the world are people supposed to do regarding their mail? Yesterday was Mother's Day, and people sent her cards and gifts to the UPS store not knowing that it was closed. We tried to do a mail forwarding on the US postal service website, but we weren't able to figure out how to do so.

Edit to Update- My mother went to the post office a couple of minutes from the UPS store, and they had her mail. They will be holding mail for all UPS store customers until June 1. She was not able to do a change of address or have the mail forwarded, but we will at least have a month's worth of mail to give us a head start on contacting companies to change addresses. Thank you to all who provided help and support. Hopefully this update will help others who find themselves in similar situations.
