Am I doing it right?

I pulled up the old floorboards. I removed the old insulation from under. I kept the newer insulation from the perimeter and am raking it around as needed. I’m putting caulk around the top plates. I plan to foam around the big gaps which are around the radiator pipes and plumbing stack. I’m not doing anything to the gap between the brick veneer and wall. The gap currently has blow in insulation mixed with dirt and dust plugging the top of the gap. The only ventilation is from two sets of large dormer windows on adjacent corners. The roof was reshingled 1.5 years ago. Roofer said don’t bother with ridge vents in the old drafty house. I recently had the fascia holes fixed and soffit covered with vinyl siding. Thinking I could possibly install an attic fan? I’ve been leaving the dormers open and rain doesn’t seem to blow in.

Edit: after the electrician rewires the upstairs and we either abandon or remove the K&T, I’ll finish the air sealing, put a walkway in to access the farthest dormer from the stairs, build some raised storage, then blow in insulation to about r50’ish

The Cheesy is so good they can charge $13 for it up there. The article is correct that double meat is the proper way to order 😋
