So, I have been out of playing for quite a long while. I was never an expert player or anything. But at times, if I was in the mood, I could play some sweet tunes. I do appreciate a well playing guitar.

About 10~12 years ago I purchased a mint condition American Strat. Like never played, still had the plastic on the neck plate and original strings.

I shortly after sold it to help fund a new home purchase.

I am now thinking of getting a Mexican Strat.
I’ve heard the new player II series are respected.

How are older MIM strats?
There is one about an hour an a half drive in decent shape for $475, in sunburst, a 2006.

I sort of am leaning towards finding that perfect body, I think I prefer a maple neck.

I have perfect credit and have the option of making zero interest payments if I wanted to get one new at maybe guitar center. But it’s a 2 hour drive.

I have a Washburn HB-30 semi hallow that is in mint condition with an upgraded Seymour Duncan bridge pickup with a push/pull knob.

I found the Washburn dirt cheap at the goodwill in a hard case.

I am not sure of the resell value with the upgrades and being mint, but wanting to sell to fund part of the Strat.

Any experience on MIM strats I’m all ears.

Just sent back a pair of soundcore airfit 2 because of too many times I’d have one ear die when the other had 60-70% battery.

The Shokz openfit air are without a doubt better sounding, especially in the bass department, much more natural and punchy, impressive for open air.

The only thing I miss (only had them on 15 minutes) the touch controls are lacking.

With the soundcore I had one tap for volume up/down, two taps left next, two taps right previous.

And hold for Siri voice assistant.

I am Shokz (sorry, had to) that the touch control is so limited.

I currently have them set to hold for volume up/down, and double tap for song next and previous. This leaves out voice control.

I was using this feature a lot at work when needing to make calculations.

I came into a Superchips 2815 Flashpaq tuner.

I just want to power it on to see if it's married to another vehicle to resell it.

Can I safely plug it into my old 2002 Toyota highlander just to see if it powers up and if any message of being married to a VIN without damage to my Toyota?

Looking at Amazon’s price history , over the last few months, the price has dropped from $120 down to $80.

The last sale ended the 9th of this month.

Doing a Google search someone claimed Shokz would have a Mother’s Day sale starting tomorrow 4/29/26.

Does anyone have any info / inside info of a sale for Mother’s Day.

I’d be going through Amazon ,

I just don’t want to pull the trigger then find out in a day or 2 the price dropped $40.
