Bombtrack Hook EXT or Brother Mehmet for commuting?
Hi all!
I've been thinking about getting a steel gravel bike to commute to work (14 km one way), and I've narrowed it down to 2 frame options : the Bombtrack Hook EXT or the Brother Mehmet.
The Hook uses Columbus steel and the Mehmet uses Reynolds 725. From what I can tell, the Mehmet has more tire clearance, so more comfort. But (at least according to Google AI), the Hook has a more racey geometry. Since the distance is so short, it might be better to focus on a bike that feels more race-like /aggressive? The route would be mostly flat(ish) tarmac with most likely some potholes (it's in Belgium after all).
FYI : I'm planning on using 700c wheels, since I have 622-42 Continental Contact Plus tires lying around at home (from a previous bike)
