Homemade Chippy Dinner

Picked up a cooked roast chicken from Morrisons, along with some Saveloys. Pulled apart the meat from the bones (it literally fell off) and mixed it with McDonnells curry sauce before being served over a bed of Home cooked chips made with Maris Piper potatoes. Did get a semi after making it, and tasted unreal

EDIT: Genuinely amused at some of the responses here, gotta love the world of Reddit.

I get it, it doesn’t look pretty. It’s not meant to look pretty. If it tastes good, hearty and filling then I’m happy. I’m not one for mucking about for it to be served up as a Michelin star small plate or some fancy restaurant in Shoreditch. I’ve been bought up with food being slapped onto my plate and that’s that.

Granted, the saveloy looks very phallic. But fuck it still tastes good. End of the day, don’t knock it until you try it.

Trust me, If it tasted as shit as it looked, it would’ve been turfed out to the local Foxes and never to be spoken of again.

Anyway, happy bank holiday folks. Enjoy a cold one and the weather
