Camera wont read card

So i have this Canon EOS 600D, but the problem is that its not reading this card, my mom used to use this sd card with her own canon a few years ago and im assuming it worked fine (from what she describes it). Other cards work fine on my camera but this one and some others dont. Its a 64 GB SDXC card, on the front sticker these symbols are written (idk if it matters for this problem but just in case), U1, C10, V10, I (roman numeral) and "nedis", im assuming thats the brand. On my laptop it works perfectly fine but when i insert it in my camera it says "No card in camera". The other card i use: micro sd hc, U1, I, 16GB, "legacy series" and the brand is "Monster digital", i use a micro sd adapter by iconix. This other card works great on my camera. I know that the best fix might be to just buy a new card but if this is fixable, i dont wanna spend more without trying to fix it. Ive already tried formatting it to FAT32 using guiformat, but it didnt work. I cant format it with the camera since it says that no card is inserted. Ive also tried wiping the contacs, locking and unlocking it again but nothing seems to work. If anyone has any ways to fix this i'd appreciate it.

Taking pictures of my friends

So i just got a new Canon EOS 600D, and im getting started in photography, last time on my school field trip, i brought with me 2 digicams, the Canon PowerShot A590 IS and the Kodak Easyshare M340, and in the beginning, my firends were saying i dont need it and stuff like that. Later on in the day, people from another class and my friends were asking me to take pictures of themselves in the bus or even when we got out, and obviously i did, but the thing is, now, even tho they might still ask for me to take pictures, i also wanna take pictures myself, not just when they want to, and not just when theyre posing. So does anyone have any ideas on how i can get my friends to allow me to take pictures of them? The thing is, taking them secretly is first off against the rules, and thats against what I personaly wanna do, so im thinking of mabye asking them at the start of the field trip something like "hey so randomly throughout the day you guys might look good and so is it ok if i take pictures every now and then?" and if they dont want to, i wont. Last time, at the beginning, they even made fun of me for bringing cameras but at the end of the day no one actually cared, neither did i when i brought them, so even when i bring this, people might still make fun of me (i dont care). Another thing is that most of my classmates/my generation dosent wanna be in pictures for whatever reason, and even when theyre in a group photo for example, theyll always act tough and look mad or cover their face. (the boys mainly).
I also kinda think that the "face covering" might have more than 1 reason. See, a year or 2 ago, everyone was trying to take pictures of people and make them stickers on snapchat, now its died out in my class, but the "fear" remains.

So basically i have 5 questions:

How do i get pictures of my friends throughout the day? (kinda like street photography)
How do i get them to be comfortable with being in photos?
How do i prove to them that i dont have bad intentions with the photos?
And even if they say no to when i ask them "hey so randomly throughout the day you guys might look good and so is it ok if i take pictures every now and then?", how do i get them to say yes later or just realize that its ok?
How do i convince them to actually be normal, not like covering their face or acting mad or trying to look tough.

(another thing, i cant really bring it to school or use it with my friends outside of school since we never really go out, and there also arent like clubs and stuff and they dont do events. 99% sure that the only time i'll be able to bring this is that day on the school trip)

Old Canon PowerShot A590 IS is showing low battery icon

| please respond |
So i just bought new batteries for my old Canon PowerShot A590 IS, theyre AA energizer max (with the red accent color) and when i turn it on, sometimes it works and i can take a few pictures, but not with flash, or sometimes i cant even take pictures, or when i try to take a picture with flash or try to zoom in, then the little red low battery icon starts flashing, or sometimes when i click the "on" button, the lens extends, the logo appears on the screen but then a second after, the lens retracts and the screen says "change the batteries". Also, this camera is really old, and as a kid obviously i didnt know its value so i played with it, threw it around and stuff, aswell as my sister, but other than that, nothing else happended as far as i know. And also while the lens is extending there are like 2 or 3 like "krrk" or "click" sounds, but thats a different conversation cuz the lens still manages to retract and extend. Also, as far as i know, the batteries were in for a long time so on the lid contacts there IS a bit of battery corrosion but i cleaned most of it and i guess i can clean the rest someday. Any ways to fix that problem? (the first one)
