Is this illegal?

I privately (no real estate involved) rent a two bedroom unit in NSW and recently my roommate moved out. However, a week before she moved she broke the Landlord's washing machine. It filled with black water, locked the doors and would get stuck in the middle of a cycle and wouldn't spin out the excess water from the clothes so it leaves you with soaking wet, dripping clothes.

My landlord has said that he is going to make me and my ex-roommate pay for the repairs (even though I wasn't the one who broke it) as he said "I'm not Santa, I not spending money on fixing everything" but I don't even know if he will be able to contact her for the money as she moved out of state and I'm scared the repair invoice will fall on me to pay...

My lease doesn't mention any of the appliances and only mentions how much rent I need to pay (which covers my wifi and utilities) and an agreement to have my pet lizard in the unit.

Is this legal for him to do? I'm scared I will be saddled with a big bill I don't have the money to pay for. This is my first rental experience and so far it's been terrible...

How do I make my spoiled Pygmy Bearded Dragon eat his greens?

Hi!! I can’t find a thread/group that’s specifically for Pygmy dragons so I do apologise in advance. However, I’ve had my Pygmy for just over a year (he’s a year and three months old) now and every day it’s a fight for him to eat his greens.

This is Dante, and he’s a spoiled brat. Every day I offer the following (of course dusted with calcium powder): rocket, bok choy, small amounts of shredded carrot (once a week), kale, basil, and choy sum. Every few months I give him a small square of watermelon as I am aware that too much sugar can rot his jaw/teeth which is a big fear of mine even if watermelon is his all time favourite food.

He gets his bugs twice a week; a few crickets and two mealworms. My knowledge of his diet has come strictly from his breeder and I’ve very cautious of what he is allowed to eat.

But every damn day it’s a fight to get this stinky boy to eat anything that isn’t crickets or watermelon!!! My breeder has suggested to “starve” him by restricting his bugs until he eats his greens but I don’t have the heart to do such a thing.

Are there any tips or tricks anyone can suggest?
