I got monetized, but AdSense won't approve my account.
I met the monetization requirements on the 14th of last month (June). I applied for monetization on the 16th and created my AdSense account through YouTube Studio. My application stayed under review for more than 48 hours, but it was eventually not approved.
I then logged into the AdSense website using the same email address I had used to create the account through YouTube Studio.
There, I noticed an issue. It said that my account had been deactivated a long time ago and that I needed to reactivate it. There was a blue "Reactivate" button below the message. I don't remember creating an AdSense account before, but after doing some research, I found out that it's possible I had created one in the past for a website without realizing it. I clicked "Reactivate," and the account went back under review.
After about four more days, I received another notification from AdSense saying that my account had not been approved. I watched a YouTube video where someone described a situation similar to mine. They said it was likely due to a duplicate account and recommended deleting that AdSense account, checking whether I had any other AdSense accounts under different email addresses, and then creating a new one using a completely clean email address. I followed that advice on the 25th of last month.
I created a new AdSense account through YouTube Studio again. On the 29th, I received another email from AdSense saying that the account had not been approved once again.
At this point, I'm still having trouble getting past Step 2 of the monetization process. I contacted AdSense Support on the 30th, and the support representative told me they would forward my case to the technical team and that I would receive a response within 24 hours. However, I still haven't heard back, and now I don't know what else to do.
