AdSense turned Ad Intents on via an "experiment", despite me having them switched off
Just a semi-warning to users out there that AdSense automatically started an "experiment" on my sites using the awful Ad Intents adverts.
I did have the experiment feature switched on, thinking it would only be minor experiments to adjust sizes, colours and the like. But finding a 50:50 experiment running with Ad Intents got the "experiment" feature turned off straight away.
Ad Intents are the adverts which appear to be links, and when a user clicks or hovers over them, they show an advert with an AI answer. It honestly looks like malware on a text-heavy site, with random links on random words. When I tested them, these adverts confused users into thinking they were genuine links.
I had Ad Intents switched off in my Ads settings, but the experiment ignored this and just started anyway. So much for the idea that the format is opt-in and entirely optional for publishers. But I guess the take-up rate is so low that this is the only way they can get anyone using it.
Discrepancy in AdSense revenue
Our website currently earns only about $1/day from AdSense, despite receiving approximately 100,000 independent views per day. It is a US-based website, and around 90% of our visitors are from the United States.
We typically have 2–3 ad placements per page: one anchor ad, one rail ad, and one ad at the bottom of the page. All ad formats are responsive. We have also verified that a visitor should always see at least one ad. Auto-optimize is ON.
Based on some answers, we expected revenue closer to $100 - 1,000/day with this level of traffic. That would mean our actual revenue is roughly 1,000 times lower than expected.
Do you have any idea what could cause such a significant discrepancy?
AdSense alternatives for a small-to-medium website
Hi everyone,
I’m interested in hearing about the experiences of small-to-medium publishers getting around 100,000 pageviews per month.
Google recently disabled my AdSense account, which had been active since 2019. For the past year, I had been using it to monetize my website without any previous warnings or significant issues. Apparently, they objected to the placement of one ad unit, even though it had been in the same position for about a year. The account was disabled just before I was due to receive a substantial payment.
This is mainly a warning for anyone who relies heavily on AdSense: it may not be as reliable as it appears. Even if you try to follow the policies, Google can eventually disable your account with very little explanation. Their appeal response did not provide any specific or useful information either.
I’ve now started looking for alternatives and realized that there don’t seem to be many—or perhaps I simply don’t know about them.
Has anyone tested another reasonably reputable network that doesn’t rely on aggressive pop-ups, forced redirects, or other questionable practices? What kind of CTR, CPM, or RPM are you seeing?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
Advertising banner
Hello everyone. I have a website and I want to place a small horizontal banner in a specific location. I created an ad unit with a width of 320px and a height of 50px, based on a template I saw on another website for how I want it to look. In the mobile browser view (Chrome), the banner appears exactly the way I want it, small and discreet. But when I open my website through Instagram's internal browser, where my content is most consumed, that same banner appears in an extremely larger size, like a square occupying almost the entire screen. What did I do wrong? Why doesn't the same fixed banner ad size appear the same on Instagram? I appreciate anyone who can help me; I'm a bit of an amateur at this. l
Alternatives to AdSense?
I have a blog (on blogger.com) it's got a fair few posts and I get a fair amount of traffic, as it's a nich topic
I've tried to get AdSense added, but it keeps failing, it thinks the content isn't of high enough quality, which is utter nonsense.
Im probably never meet this undefined bar, which seems to be quantity over quality, as I'm not going to start throwing rubbbish at my blog to get numbers up.
What other as networks are there?
also, is it possible to get paid before hitting a payment threshold, or is that money just retained by the trillion dollar company that owns the ad network?
Any advice on how to approve my website (high traffic)?
Hey there,
a while ago I built the webpage metamist.io.
It's a build sharing page for the game mistfall hunter, i had access to the game while it was in development from the devs and spent a ton of time curating all the data into this website.
The website is actively being used by players and by some big streamers, since it's essentially the only reasonable way to share builds.
I now tried approving it to adsense, to monetize it a little bit, since hosting is actually costing me quite some money at this point, due to the high amount of traffic coming in. For reference, over the last 7 days its gotten around 70k visitors and close to a half million pageviews.
Now, I see the content might SEEM thin in parts, since the builds obviously all work around the same skills / talents, but all of them are user built and are actively being used.
I dont want to "fake" content to approve this page, since it works perfectly alright as it is right now, but i also don't want to wait another half year, until the game possibly loses traction.
Any idea on how to handle this?
Need your feedback on my idea

40–50k monthly visits, mostly African traffic — is Mediavine Journey worth it?
Hey everyone,
I've been running my website exclusively on AdSense so far. Revenue is acceptable and currently covers my hosting costs, so I'm considering trying Mediavine Journey.
The thing is, my traffic is unfortunately not Tier 1. Only around 3–4% of my traffic comes from Tier 1 countries. The vast majority is from African countries. Google has apparently decided that my website belongs to Africa now, to the point that I had to restructure and rewrite quite a lot of my content to better serve that audience.
I'm currently getting around 40–50k visits/month, and I've already been accepted into Mediavine Journey, but I haven't started the onboarding process yet.
So I'm wondering:
- Is Journey likely to be worthwhile with this kind of traffic profile?
- Has anyone here had experience with Mediavine/Journey with a predominantly African audience?
- How did your RPM compare with AdSense?
I'm mainly trying to figure out whether the potential revenue increase is worth the switch, given that most of my audience isn't from Tier 1 countries.
Any real-world experience with African traffic (or similar countries like India, Pakistan, China...) would be especially useful.
Can webgames be approved?
I worked this summer in enabling a sudoku style webgame (Kludoku) and I designed it to self-fund with ad revenue (basically banner and modal during win screens), but it has been rejected twice by Adsense for light content.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get it approved? or it is a lost case?
Is there a decent alternative to Adsense?
I´m sick of getting rejection mails without any information as to the reason of the rejection. My website ( www.borderchecklist.com ) is a webtool that directs travelers and migrants to the exact legal paperwork they need to fill out in order to travel or move to another country, given their exact situation. Its free and it does not collect data of any kind. It has tons of articles and content as well. Either Adsense approval policy seems directed at approving 2005´s era blogs and that is just not the reality anymore.
Are there any good alternatives to Adsense, that provide a similar service?
Got this dreaded email! Please help!
So recently, my game that uses admob went into production on the Play store and I got this email from the Adsense team.
Google mentions that my account was disabled due to "invalid traffic, and/or other activity which violates our publisher policies or terms and conditions".
I had to watch a few of my ads (when it went into production) to test whether the ads are being served correctly and to also progress through my game more easily. That's the most plausible reason but I had 0 clue that this would lead to account closure. No warnings, no notifications.. just straight up closure..
Also I had various testers testing out my app (due to Google's 12 testers, 14 day policy) and a few of them may have invariably seen my ads in production.
And here's the worst part.. Google wants me to give detailed reports and analysis of the traffic to my closed account when I have 0 access to it.. how do I even do it?
So please help me out on what I should submit in the appeal and is there any realistic chance of getting my account restored?

4th AdSense rejection for my website – What am I missing?

Hi everyone,
My website https://www.heritagetamil.in/ has now been rejected by Google AdSense for the 4th time, and I'm honestly running out of ideas about what I may be doing wrong.
The website focuses on Tamil Nadu's heritage, history, temples, forts, architecture, dynasties, and cultural heritage. I've been trying to build it as a genuine information resource rather than a site created primarily for ads.
I've already made several improvements after the previous rejections, but AdSense has rejected it again.
At this point, I would really appreciate honest feedback from people who have successfully dealt with AdSense rejections, especially those familiar with history/heritage websites.
What I'm particularly wondering about:
Is the content still considered "low value" despite being original?
Does the site need substantially more first-hand research, references, or author expertise?
Are there problems with the site's structure, navigation, or user experience?
Are category/archive pages hurting the overall quality assessment?
Could the author/about information and E-E-A-T signals be insufficient?
Is there anything technically wrong that I may be overlooking?
Should I stop applying for now and make more substantial changes first?
I'm not looking for shortcuts or an "AdSense approval trick." I want to understand what Google may be seeing as a problem and fix the underlying issues properly.
If you have experience with AdSense approvals/rejections, particularly for history, heritage, education, or informational websites, I would genuinely appreciate your criticism.
Website: https://www.heritagetamil.in/
Please be honest—even if you think there are major problems with the site. That's exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance.
Adsense Account Been Disabled/Ban For No Reason
My Google AdSense account was ban for a false reason. When I went to go look into it they said it can take up to 7 YEARS TO UNBAN my account for a false reasoning. They said I was bring in false traffic "Publishers disabled for invalid traffic and/or violations of our publisher policies" and that's not possible because I just created the account. When I went to appeal I would have to wait 90 days each time and if I didn't they would ban me from appealing ever again. Can I please get a REAL human to help me out with this.
AdSense PIN not received after 4 requests — PIN Troubleshooter doesn't work
Hi everyone, I’m having a problem with my YouTube/AdSense address verification.
I have already requested the AdSense PIN \*\*4 times\*\*, and I have never received any of the PIN letters.
My \*\*4th and latest PIN was sent on July 13, 2026\*\*, and it has now been \*\*more than a month\*\*, but I still haven’t received it.
The main problem is that the \*\*PIN Troubleshooter does not work for me\*\*. It doesn’t give me any option for manual/alternative verification or a way to contact someone directly.
Because I can’t receive the PIN, my \*\*address verification and monetization are currently blocked\*\*.
I’ve tried looking for a way to contact YouTube/AdSense directly, but whenever I try to get support, I’m basically redirected to the \*\*YouTube Community/Community posts\*\* instead of being connected with an actual support agent.
Has anyone had the same problem and found a way to:
\* Contact an actual AdSense/YouTube support agent?
\* Get manual/alternative address verification?
\* Escalate the case after 4 PIN requests?
I’m specifically looking for a solution \*\*other than the PIN Troubleshooter\*\*, because I’ve already tried it and it doesn’t give me a way forward.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Any advice and tips on how to get approved these days despite doing everything right?

Adsense for a browser game?
Hi guys I’ve been trying to get approved for Adsense and have gotten rejected 3 times for low value content. My website https://dio.bot is a multiplayer PvP and PvE game. Any advice? If Adsense isn’t the way for a browser game, are there better ad services for my case?
Website owners who has 200+ visitors daily, how long did it take?
And what strategy you used to increase traffic to your sites? Also if it's alright to ask what niche and how much are you earning from your website?
