Both in my personal car buying and watching Tomi’s videos we often see dealers ask what you want to pay for a car. My questions is largely where does a person who dosent do 400 car deals a month get a reasonably informed number on a specific car?
For instance, let’s say I’m in the market for a CX-90. I know what MSRP is but I don’t exactly know what kind of discounts are common in my local area. So when a dealer asks me where I want to be and I say 10 percent off MSRP their next reasonable question is where did that number come from, I’d like to have a logical answer. Is there anywhere to see true selling prices for vehicles versus MSRP? The other problem with being misinformed is if I ask for 10% at the first dealership I call, they agree. I am left thinking could I get 11..maybe 12 percent etc.
