First Year Nursing Student of AUT - What is it like?

Hey everyone,

I'm a first year nursing student at UoA and I want to explore the option of transferring to AUT. I really like the nursing school's lecturers and have been enjoying the learning but I live really far from campus and I do not enjoy the atmosphere of UoA in general at all. It's taking a little bit of a toll.

I wanted to hear from some of you fellow first years at AUT:

  • What is your cohort like (e.g. demographic, friendliness)?
  • Is the campus experience enjoyable?
  • Do you feel supported?

Thank you :)

How Do People Get into Relationships Here? Asking For a Friend :)

Hi guys, sorry about this post, I know it's random but I figured I'd ask as I'm sure there are some people wondering the same thing.

I lot of people I know (me included) are wanting to meet people and get into a relationship and thought that uni would be the place it would happen. Having been here for a while, we're all still wondering how on earth people actually find a person they like, let alone have the opportunity to get to know them. I'm not saying there's a lack of options but more like the overall uni environment is kinda anti-social so if you don't meet people through everyday classes, there's not much hope.

I'm probably generalizing and I am sure there are many people who have gotten into relationships through uni - I'm just curious as to how?

P.S this is coming from someone studying a degree with mostly females which could be a factor.
