Someone here the other day asked about Bolt Action at 54mm and I wanted to show some (1/32 or 1/35 ) 54mm action.
This is a battle at St Lo between the Allies and Axis. If you look close you can see order dice and pin markers.
This is a 6 x 9 ' setup (3 standard 6x3' folding tables).
At 1/35 scale, companies like Tamiya have all sorts of sets of tank crews leaning against tanks, working on them, troops sitting on walls or laying on the ground with their back propped up on a wall, etc. I would call these "staging area" soldiers.
Does anyone know of any 28mm versions of this?

Was watching the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation and there was a shot of this table with rubble or something on it.

What a great terrain table! I kind of want to recreate it for a laugh and play a game on it.
Part 1 of a 3 part Battle of Saipan, fought today on the anniversary of the USMC landings.

This battle is the Red Beach landing, objective is to establish a beachhead and prepare for a Japanese counterattack (part 2).
​
We had to substitute a squad of Commonwealth troops as we only had one Marine squad, but other than that the order of battle was pretty close, we even had a "Satan" M3 Stuart which was the star of the show, taking out the bunker and a truck full of Japanese that were heading to the beach.

Turns 1-3 were spent landing and pushing up the beachhead against Japanese artillery and withering fire from a HMG in a bunker.. On Turn 4 the Marines leapt ahead with the bunker on fire from the tank's flamethrower and a narrow victory against a banzai charge.

On turn 6 the USMC destroyed the last unit and captured their last battle dice to win the assault.

Commonwealth squad fresh from the sprues to a waiting Higgins.
I got a boxed starter set and have 6 bodies and like 100 leftover arms and stuff on the sprue.. What do I do with all this stuff? Do they just sell bodies? I could probably make 6 more guys with the leftovers.. I also have a whole sprue full of just weapons, not even in hands. An ammo dump?. Spare weapons to carry on their back? An Upham running around with an armful of backpacks?
