I’ve included the screencap from yesterday’s press release and her happy bangs at the end of S1.
Her bangs have grown out a lot, right?
Why did she rage cut the back of her hair?
Or did she get into a tussle with a pirate and get her own top knot cut off? Because she has a lot of new cowlicks and split ends we haven’t seen before.

The teaser last year did not give much away and it was a flashback.
Logline: In Season 2, Mizu’s bloody quest continues in London, where she faces new friends, old foes, and her own demons. In Japan, Akemi and Taigen navigate Edo Castle under a dangerous new Shogun, while Ringo searches for new purpose.
I’m reposting the link. BES doesn’t have an official docket at Annecy but it is listed under Netflix’s upcoming shows. I thought the summary was notable:
Old foes? Fowler, obviously. But who else?
A dangerous “new” Shogun.
And Ringo!
After character designs are approved, they are sent to the animation studio for building. Those designs then get shipped back to the Netflix team for refinement. On the process goes until everyone is happy!
Look how subtle the tweaks are: Flatter nasal bridge here, sloping shoulder there. It may seem inconsequential to you or I, but it’s this level of detail and care that makes the show.
