Can I get a lip piercing and still play flute?

I’m thinking about getting a labret piercing (the one in the middle of your lower lip) and a friend pointed out that it might affect my playing. Do any of you have any experience with playing with lip piercings? They look cool but not cool enough to permanently stop playing.
I’d love to hear any thoughts/opinions/experiences you might have. Do I get it anyway?

Is it possible to play flute with a labret piercing?

Basically what it says on the tin. I play flute and I really want a labret piercing but idk if it’ll affect my playing. If you have any lip piercings and play an instrument I’d love to hear your opinions and advice.

Hand in resignation at start or end of shift?

I work as assistant manager for a retail store and I’m handing in my resignation tomorrow, I have a new job lined up with a company that I’m hopeful about and the contract is signed and everything.

We’re a bit short staffed and I’m aware that it’s not an ideal time for them but I don’t want to miss this opportunity. They’re all the old fashioned retail type, ie. older women who’ve given 20+ years to the one company and aren’t really seeing a return on their loyalty, are a bit salty about it and make it everyone else’s problem. Once I hand it in, the whole team will know in hours and they’ll be icy.

Should I hand it to the manager in the morning like I should, even though we’ll be busy (it’s truck day) and potentially make the entire shift extra awkward? Or should I be a coward and hand it in after my lunch break?

Normally I wouldn’t even blink but these old ladies are next level guys. I really just need to be told to get my head out of my ass and that I’m being an idiot.
