Best kosher doughnuts in NYC? (Not IKC)

Visiting New York rn, I live somewhere with very little in terms of kosher eateries and I want nothing more than a real doughnut, but I can’t seem to find kosher doughnut places when I search online (at least ones that aren’t IKC, and I’ve heard that hechsher is unreliable/controversial). Bakeries come up but I can’t tell from pictures/online menus if they actually have doughnuts or not. Pleasee help a yid out and drop recs 🙏

ABCD (Anybody But Cis Dudes)?

Sorry if this has been posted about on here before, but I was just in a shop that had a display of pride pins, and one of the pins read “I’m into ABCD (Anybody But Cis Dudes)”. This feels really weird and i guess… icky? It really rubbed me the wrong way. It feels like both conservatives and “woke” people forget about trans men actually being men ?? And everyone just puts trans men into this separate category of gender/person and it’s really weird and gross and I hate it. If you’re into trans men, you’re into men. You can hate cis men all you want but identifying this way is inherently transphobic to me. How do you guys feel about this kind of identity?

There should still be a differentiation between Autism and Aspergers, Aspergers just needs a new name

I don’t think it should still be called Aspergers because of the horrible history of that name, but I think we still need a differentiation between this level of mild autism and being “autistic,” and I don’t think calling autism a spectrum makes up for this. To me, the “spectrum” is simply too broad to consider people at either end as having the same thing. I am diagnosed with mild autism and it feels wrong to say I have autism, when it doesn’t impact my life to the severity that it does others with higher support needs, or even present that similarly. To me these seem so drastically different in how they present, that it’s almost offensive to say it’s the same thing. People are way too liberal with the word “autism” now and it’s not helpful to autistic people. Too many people call themselves autistic and claim to represent autistic people, while being incredibly high functioning and barely affected by the disorder. Too often I see these people speaking over higher support needs and “profoundly autistic” people, and also treating it like a quirky personality trait instead of a disability/disorder.

TLDR. The autism “spectrum” is simply too broad to consider people at either end as having the same thing, when it presents very differently and affects peoples lives drastically different depending on the severity

Looking for Jewish streetwear

I love this hoodie but unfortunately it has a thorny crown in the graphic, but I love this style and messaging, does anyone know of Jewish streetwear brands with similar type of clothing? I could find one that was somewhat close to what I was looking for but then saw a lot of their products were obviously AI which I don’t like and don’t want to support. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be a Jewish brand, as long as there’s no christian symbols etc in the design

Looking for Jewish mens spiritual retreats?

Hi, this might be a bit niche but I’m trying to look for kosher+shomer shabbos Jewish spiritual retreats, preferably for men, that are happening either end of this year or early-ish 2027. I’m in California but I’m not opposed to traveling elsewhere within the states. I’ve tried looking online but haven’t found many so figured I’d ask here if anyone could point me in the right direction, much appreciated 🙏
