Our 3yo boy was on his bike heading down a hill towards a road and got quite a distance away from us before he began to ignore our calls for him to stop. A lady jogging was running in his direction and said ‘I’ll go stop him’ and we almost shrugged it off before we realised he REALLY wasn’t listening to us, hubby stayed with our younger daughter and I started sprinting down the hill after him, screaming at him to stop but he saw me running and thought it was hilarious and kept going.
The lady had a head start on me and made it to him first and everything was fine, he got a stern talking to and we went about our day.
It’s now night time and I can’t get myself to sleep without reliving the scene over and over in my head - what if I couldn’t get to him in time? What if that lady wasn’t there? What if what if what if?
He’s safe, we’ve all learnt from the experience but I actually cannot shake this fear of what could have been.
Any mums awake to share in this? Any tips?

Altra escalante vs altra solstice xt3?
Or others that are zero drop but also comfy enough to do runs in!
Tossing up between the escalante 4 and the solstice xt 3, both seem to have pros and cons. Currently using a pair of lone peaks which are horrible to perform lifts in so I normally end up barefoot but then struggle in AMRAPs because I need shoes on for all the varied exercises!
Keen to hear which one or others people use for CrossFit?!
