PR- Longest Run

I had done a few 10k but today decided to go for a new length. My other goal was to finish with SPM above 160 and HR below 140. My pace was not what I wanted coming back down toward home, so feel like I have some work to do there, but happy my cadence stayed where it needed to be and my heart rate was consistent the whole time.

Loving the tips on this forum and how much I am learning, thank yall!

Haven’t done a proper race in 4 years. Decided to just get into running with no race goal, just to get the habit it, change up my routine, and learn the sport in my mid 40s…

Decided a week ago to run a 5k today. Last time was around 31 minutes, huffing past the finish line. Today I hit 27:50 and feel like I could’ve done another one!

(We will see what I feel like tomorrow 😆)

Pack in protein and fiber in around 500 calories. Sets me up nicely for the day and keeps me full!

Cook oatmeal with 1 cup water. Pinch of salt, microwave on high 2 minutes.
While still hot mix in powder, cinnamon and Greek yogurt, stir to consistency.
Add berries and pecans on top.
