Is it normal to have friends but no one to celebrate your birthday with?

My birthday is in a week, and I realized something that’s been sitting with me.
I have people to chat with. I have people to send memes to. I have people I casually talk to.
But I don’t think there’s anyone who even knows my birthday is coming up.
I’m not someone who hates being alone. I actually enjoy my own company most of the time. But birthdays have a strange way of making you notice the difference between being alone by choice and feeling like no one is expecting your day with you.
I’m not looking for a big celebration. I think I just wish I had someone who’d say, “What are we doing for your birthday?”
Does anyone else feel this way around birthdays?
