Volunteering in Europe

Hi everyone! I’ve decided at the last minute to do some volunteering in Europe, and I’d like to head out in November. The problem is, I’ve been looking on Worldpackers but haven't found anything available on such short notice. If I download Workaway and set up a profile, do I have a chance of finding and getting accepted for a project starting in early November?

Advices for improving myself

Hi everyone, I’m a young woman about to turn 25, and I need some advice. I think I’m going through a bit of a crisis regarding the passing of time. I didn't exactly have a carefree childhood; I always felt like I was carrying burdens that weren't mine to bear. Now, at nearly 25, I’m struggling with my mental health and want to become a different person. I dropped out of university and am now confused about the career path I want to build; I’m not sure if I should switch fields entirely, but I’m unsure which direction to take. I’m currently unemployed, though I do have some savings set aside. Right now, I want to travel but also build a career for myself. I feel like I’m falling behind, and I don’t have an older mentor to guide me—in fact, I never really have. I’m in therapy, but I want to completely turn my life around as quickly as possible. I also find myself comparing myself to others; I’m not in a relationship, and I feel like I’m losing my friendships. Do you have any advice? I feel very lost.

Prepare for the exam in 5 days

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, I’ve only just discovered a Master’s program that interests me, and I need a score of 6 to get in. I know I have very little time to prepare (5 days is hardly anything) but I have to do it. I think I’m at a B1 level, though I wouldn't say my English is particularly good—maybe below intermediate? I’m not sure. How can I prepare? If I’m not familiar with the topics in the writing section, how am I supposed to write a text about them? I’ll be taking the test from home on my computer, and I also need to get the results in time... I’m told they arrive within a maximum of 8 days. Is that reliable? Thanks for the answers

Sud-est asiatico

Ciao a tutti!! Come state? Spero bene. Volevo partire a settembre e ritornare entro gennaio.

Southeast Asia

Hi everyone! :) I need some advice. I’m a girl turning 25 this year, and I promised myself I’d celebrate my birthday by taking my first solo trip to Asia. I’m planning this a bit last-minute, but I’d like to visit Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. I’m still undecided about the Philippines (I’ve read that traveling there can be dangerous). Since it’s my first solo trip, I’d really like to do some volunteering as well (maybe through Worldpackers).
I want to leave in September and return in January, as I’ll need to get back to my studies and work after that. Is the weather bad during this time? I’ve done some research, and it looks like there might be quite a bit of rain. Could you suggest an itinerary, which places to visit first and which later? Also, are there any specific spots you’d recommend or advise against? Unfortunately, this is the only time I have available, and I really want to keep the promise I made to myself, despite feeling a bit scared. I’d also love to meet others who might be traveling during this period. Thanks so much!🫶🏻🌺
