i usually pump once at night when my baby gets a long stretch but mainly breastfeed. he is currently teething so hes been waking up a lot at night and i havent had the chance to pump in days. last night he slept well so i grabbed some pump parts out of the bottle washer and pumped and refrigerated the milk then fed him the milk today. Now im suddenly freaking out because those pump parts sat for a couple days before i washed them and i cant remember if i rinsed the duckbill valve well before putting it in the bottle washer and i didn’t double check inside to make sure there was no residue before assembling the pump and using it. everything else that was washed in that batch looks good, and i keep the bottle washer on storage mode that keeps everything super dry so i know it wasn’t moist. i cant shake the fear that there could have been residue though and i could have missed it since the parts sat for a couple days before going into the washer. my baby was full term and is a healthy 8.5 month old. i think im just terrified because i just read about a baby that died from chronobacter from improperly washed pump parts and im paranoid that is going to happen to my baby now. please tell me if im being crazy/ what the odds of bacteria like that surviving a wash/sanitize cycle in a bottle washer are and if an 8.5 month old is likely able to fight it off
