Question about cancelling, annual fee refund, and Chase Offers

I am planning on cancelling my CSP. I am aware that I can get a refund on my AF as long as I cancel within 30 days (or if I try to stretch it, within 40-ish days).

Here's the catch: I made one (only one) additional purchase to clear a Chase Offer for HelloFresh ($10 cashback). I read the fine print very carefully and it allowed me to redeem the offer up to 3 times in the past 1.5 months. There was no minimum spend. It expired on 5/15.

First time: HelloFresh billed my CSP on 4/12. I was credited the $10 to my CSP on 4/15.

Second time: HelloFresh billed my CSP on 5/13. I'm still waiting now for the credit. I'm unfortunately now running really close to the 30 days on my AF.

If I cancel CSP, can the $10 still go somewhere else? Or do I HAVE to wait for the $10 first? (I have CF, CFF, and CFU- no CSR.)

Side note: Yes, I'm aware that in general, Chase Offers can take up to 30 days- hence waiting as long as possible. The last one did take only 3 days though- and I'm just checking/hoping if closing it early IS still totally fine. If not, $95 is more important than $10 obv.

If you are late (but not very late- within 30 days) of cancelling a card with an AF and asking for a refund, but you have spent it at least once after being charged the AF, can you still be refunded the full AF, or are they more likely to prorate it? Or is prorating entirely dependent calculated based on number of days past the annual fee you are over, and nothing to do with the activity?

Also, should you pay your card (for that purchase) even though the statement obviously isn't due before you call to cancel?

(CSP by the way. Not really interested in downgrading because I already have 4 Chase $0 AF cards and I don't really want a 5th.)

I have CF, CFU, CSP, CFF and US Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards. I'm not currently interested in getting a new card. I'm currently stuck at 1% cash back on Costco.

I noticed this quarter's CF/CFF categories include 5% on Amazon. I have seen posts saying $500 Visa prepaid cards are sold there with a $7 fee (3.6% bonus).

  1. Unless I'm mistaken- I don't see $500 Visa prepaid cards listed at all on Amazon rn (only $200 max)? Are they sold out/are they likely to come back in the next 2 months?
  2. I've also seen scamming posts about this. For those that have tried this- have you had mostly positive experiences, or are scams as common as they seem?
  3. What are my next best options?

(Additional notes: Getting Visa cards at 3% drug store/gas station/grocery doesn't seem like a good option- it'd be only 1.4% net cashback bonus at best. Chase Ink Cash is probably the next card I will get, but can't for a little while.)
