Hi all, just a very basic question - does novated leasing count as a loan? does it affect your burrowing capacity when you loan for house or personal loan? i understand it will decrease the after-tax income but will it be considered as another loan?
I bought land in SA and started building my first home. Construction is still ongoing and the house will be newly completed soon. I originally planned to move in and live there, but I may now need to sell soon after completion because I received a job offer interstate and may no longer stay in SA. I received the first home stamp duty exemption and also the $15k FHOG. I understand I may need to repay the FHOG if I do not meet the residence requirement, and I am okay with that.
My main questions are:
If I sell after completion without moving in, would the 50% CGT discount likely apply if I have held the land/property for more than 12 months?
If a new buyer buys the property from me as a newly completed home, would they be eligible for FHOG, or would my previous FHOG/stamp duty exemption affect their eligibility?
