I took a low dose sixth month course of accutane and shortly after started getting these bumps on my face and neck. I’m not sure what to do about them. Currently I use just water and cetaphil daily oil free moisturizer. I’ve used salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide in the past but it just seemed to irritate my skin more and make the bumps more noticeable. I thought it could be a combination of keratosis pilaris and maybe razor bumps?

Hello. I’ve been getting the stubborn bumps on my face, forehead, neck, cheeks, and jawline since stopping accutane. Seems like it’s KP but I haven’t found a way to treat it and it’s typically best when I don’t use anything but water and gentle cetaphil oil free moisturizer. I’ve also been getting red bumps on my neck after just trimming my face (not close shaving), not sure if the red bumps are folliculitis since they are not itchy, or just keratosis pilaris bumps becoming inflammed. Any recommendations do get this under control would be greatly appreciated!

Some of the bumps also have a visible hair follicle coming from them.
