Has anyone else noticed skin issues from prayer?

Has anyone else noticed forehead irritation or acne from praying regularly (sujood) and wondered if it's from friction, prayer mats, or mosque carpets?

If you’ve experienced this, what do you do about it?

Also, how often do you usually wash your prayer mat?
