Question regarding manufacturer minimum barrel lengths

I'm very new to the suppressor world. I just bought the PTR Vent 1 and 2 for my multi-caliber line up (9mm, 300BLK, and .308).

I have a 6.5" and a 10.5" 300BLK. Reading on PTR's website, for the Vent 2, they recommended barrel length of 8"+ for 300BLK (subs only of course).

My question is: as far as barrel lengths go, are those firm? Or more like a legal "CYA"?

Anyone run shorter barrels than what the manufacturer recommended? I'll take the good and bad.

I'm just wondering if a half of an inch will really be a risk? Especially if I'm not mag dumping with an FRT, and running exclusively subs or if my 6.5".

The Vent 2 has that sweet 1.5" diameter that will tuck really nicely - Vent 1 is a beefier boi at 1.75", hard to find suppressor tuckable handguard (all seem to stop around 1.74" - just a smidge too thick).

Any insight would be appreciated.

So Juicey Media and Joe from Desk Pop did a thing.....😳🤤

Check this out if you haven't already. That freakin intro, I swear! Had me rolling one second and drooling the next.

In short, they got their Sig Sauer MCX Spear in .308 to run with a DTT FRT and the Frankenstein Armory Heavy TSB. 50 round drum mag just pissing 30 cal greatness! 🤤

So yeahhhh, now this is my life. I'm now on a quest to build this for myself, I actually own the MCX Spear, and never thought I'd see the day an FRT would rock in a .308!

***Question***: Where can you buy a DTT FRT?!?!

I'm really new to the FRT game (I have a Partisan Disruptor, ARC Fire V2, and Atrius G Lever - but I'm still on deployment and haven't had a chance to really check them out 😵).

Anyhoo, they are being vague about which FRT actually work in it. In the comments Juicey Media replied they are using the DTT.

They also show on the screen which ones work with the Sigs (DTT, Dairyland, and WOT) but I can't find any of their stuff for sale, not even backorder/pre-order option on any of their websites. I dunno - maybe I'm stupid, lol.

I thought DTT was one of the OGs, basically a RB clone. But the only thing they sell are completed/stripped lowers for a bunch of money, and just RB FRT. Is there a difference?

Should I just sell my soul and support RB? I mean, it is a super-semi .308 battle rifle after all - and I'm not really using my soul anyway, ya know?

Have these guys been sued into oblivion? Why is it so hard to find a damn DTT FRT to buy?!

Any help would be appreciated. Enjoy the video, it's great - that damn intro! 🤣🤣
