North West PA Dojo

I've trained in various disciplines my whole life (Hapkido, MMA, UFAFI), and I want to explore Aikido. It calls to me more than any other discipline. However, after looking online, it seems that there are no dojo near me. I am 2 hours from Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Cleveland. Does anyone have any ideas or secret dojos that i have not been able to locate? I don't want to do a self-taught route. I would very much like to have someone teach me. Thank you!

metformin hell / insulin resistance help

hello. I started taking metformin (500mg XR) 2 months ago for insulin resistance, and it has not been going well. I read in a few places that the constant diarrhea is typical for a few weeks but it is not slowing down and is very painful for me. I've tried the BRAT diet, pre and probiotics. digestive enzymes, and taking it before, during, and after meals. I feel really stuck and trapped right now.

my insulin resistance is insane at 299, but my glucose and A1C are very normal and not near even prediabetes. my insurance doesnt cover any glp-1s, so those are off the table as well.

has anyone had this issue with the metformin and its gotten better??

is anyone on any other medication that has been helpful that I could ask my doctor about?

Janara/Stregarhia/Southern Italian Craft

I've been lightly practicing whatever kind of magick feels good for about 10 years now. I've been thinking about getting more in touch with my roots lately, and just started doing some research into Italian Craft. My ancestors are from Campania and Campobasso, so I've taken a big interest in Janara as a sector of craft. I'm having trouble finding really anything on it other than relations to the Moon and to Water. I located some runes that really called to me as well! I'm super interested in getting to know more and really work to patch together a type of Magick that speaks to me and fulfills my spiritual needs. Does anyone have any recommendations, advice?

Remote Work Options?

I'm a licensed social worker in PA. I've been in micro for a while and am looking to get more into macro. I've been searching for a remote job paying higher than what I make now ($40,000). I really like research and program development, but honestly am open to trying anything. I'm not making much headway searching online, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for some advice here. How are people finding real remote jobs? And do you have any advice for me?
