Prevent further damage?
Any way to prevent it from growing? Shoo-glue or superglue? I feel like it’s in a part that flexes too much for any glue to stick

When any update requires me to restart my pc will instead stay on but won't display anything. the lights on the case will still be on but the fans are off.
I have hold down the power button to turn it off but when I boot it up again nothing is wrong. Even if I let the PC sit over night it won't turn off fully so I have to turn it off manually.
I'm just a little worried because when I update, I have to turn it off myself to "restart" it but the update will continue when I turn it on again.
I've narrowed it down to when XMP profile is on it does this but when it's off it'll work fine.
I would like to be able to use the full RAM but I don't want to put stress on it long term. Should I turn XMP off or is there something I can do to make this stop
