So I've being trying to organize every sapient species (or otherwise evolved species like the Zapfish and Super Sea Snails) that we see in the Splatoon series taxonomically, including those only seen in concept art. I've happened upon a bump in the road, as I'm having some trouble telling what species appear in these Deep Cut concepts.

For the first pic, I assume the left design is some kind of shark, but I have no idea what the right one is.
For the second pic, some of the designs are obvious (Ray, Octarian, Salmonid) some were identified in the big Species spreadsheet made by Rassicas (Red Handfish, Cowfish), but I've got nothing for the other ones.

Obviously there's nearly nothing to go off of, but if there's any astute marine biologists in this subreddit (or people who are just really fixated on fish), your help would be much appreciated.

Originally, I was full in on "Crane is just lying out of his ass" but after some of the discussion I've seen today I can see the appeal of it all being planned to an extent. Prime Bruce becoming Batman from a random act of violence vs Absolute Bruce Bruce becoming Batman from a calculated act of evil is a nice contrast. I could also see it being partially planned as a way to get back at the Court of Owls but that Batman was an unintended side effect.
