TDSB JK- haven’t received any info yet, is that normal?

My son is starting JK at a TDSB school in less than a month and we haven’t received anything from the school yet besides confirmation that he’s been enrolled. Is this normal?

When I was a kid, I remember getting info mid summer about who my teacher was, school supplies to bring, etc.

We couldn’t enrol him until July because we were living outside of Toronto until then, so I know we missed the kindergarten welcome/tour that would have happened in the spring. Does anyone have an idea of when I should expect info? Does it all come through email?

Thanks!

Is this brain fog or am I smoking too much weed?

I was diagnosed with HER2+ stage 2 IDC at 30. I went through 4 months of AC+PACL chemo and a year of herceptin. I was in medically induced menopause for about 6 months. I had my last dose of herceptin 2 weeks ago, and finished chemo last July. So I’m all done with treatment and no longer in menopause.

I’ve been smoking a small bit of weed every night to help me fall asleep and numb the fears, as I’m sure you all can get. I’m leaning on it hard right now for my mental health, but it’s hard for me to cut out at the moment. But I’ve been experiencing a lot of memory problems lately and my brain is just very noticeably not acting like it used to, and I’m getting a little worried. Most of the time that I notice it, it’s when I’m high, so I’m not sure if it’s just the weed affecting my brain or if it’s also cancer effects.

Sometimes I feel my brain trying to complete a thought and feel like I need to put so much focus on finishing the thought before it fades away and I forget what I was thinking about. My partner also mentions things that I’ve done/said and I have absolutely zero memory of it.

Does this sound normal to you after treatment? Or is this a weed effect? I’ve been a smoker for most of my adult life and have dealt with memory related issues while in periods where I smoke heavily, but this is totally different. I’m almost worried that I should get a brain scan to make sure there’s nothing wrong up there.
