Windows 11 FIDO2 login with multiple Entra accounts on the same YubiKey - is this expected behavior?

We are using Windows 11 Autopilot devices that are Microsoft Entra joined. I have a YubiKey configured as a FIDO2 security key, with multiple Entra user accounts registered on the same YubiKey (testing purposes).

I am trying to understand how Windows determines which account to use during Windows sign-in when multiple accounts are stored on the same security key.

My scenario:

• Account A is registered on the YubiKey.
• Account B is also registered on the same YubiKey.
• Both accounts can be used successfully on the Windows 11 device.
• I can manually sign in to Windows using Account B without any problems.

The problem occurs when I try to switch between the accounts using the YubiKey.

For example:

1. I sign in manually with Account B.
2. I sign out of Windows.
3. At the Windows sign-in screen, I select "Other user".
4. I select "Sign-in options".
5. I select "FIDO security key".
6. I insert the YubiKey.
7. Instead of asking which account/credential on the YubiKey I want to use, Windows immediately selects Account A.

Even though I explicitly selected "Other user", Windows does not present an account or credential picker for the multiple FIDO2 credentials stored on the YubiKey.

Signing in to Account B immediately beforehand also makes no difference. After signing out and using the YubiKey again, Windows still automatically selects Account A.

My questions are:

• Is this expected behavior for Windows 11 FIDO2 interactive sign-in?
• How does Windows determine which Entra account to use when multiple accounts are registered on the same YubiKey?
• Is there any supported way to select a specific account from the YubiKey at the Windows sign-in screen?
• Does the order in which the FIDO2 credentials were registered on the YubiKey determine which account Windows selects?
• Is using separate YubiKeys for separate Entra accounts currently the only reliable solution for Windows sign-in?
• Are there any Windows 11, Intune, Entra ID or YubiKey settings that can enable an account/credential selection dialog?

I am specifically interested in Windows interactive sign-in on an Entra joined Autopilot device, rather than FIDO2/WebAuthn authentication inside a browser.

Has anyone tested this with multiple Microsoft Entra accounts on a single YubiKey, and do you see the same behavior?

Hi, I was traveling in Osaka for the first time, and I noticed that I couldn’t find any really large supermarkets near areas like Dotonbori. Most of what I saw were convenience stores, basically the equivalent of large 7-Elevens.
Am I missing something? Or do locals usually shop at neighborhood supermarkets or traditional markets for groceries and household items instead?

Edit: my hotel apartment was near Dotonbori and while i was exploring the area and outside of Dotonbori i did not see any supermarket. Eventually i lookup Aeon Mall Sakai Teppocho and went to shop there.
In europa (the Netherlands eg) there are supermarkets everywhere including in busy city center ; i’m used to that.
