Late 2000s Home theatre setup
The star of the setup here is my Sony BDV-IT1000ES Home Theatre System. This is an all in one Receiver/Blu-ray player and is also a 5.1 Surround system with wireless surround amplifier unit that receives uncompressed radio frequencies (S-AIR) from the main unit. Really is a one of a kind system that Sony abandoned due to very high price during release ($2,000 USD during 2008) and also causing low sales.
Rare to come across but i was very lucky to find on facebook marketplace for $60. Sounds absolutely beautiful especially when use my Turntable to listen to my records. Music CDs sound great on it too. I have yet to buy Blu-rays to test that out.
My TV is a Vizio VP322 Plasma from 2008. It is 720p and screen size is 32 inches. It was a budget model that has rather unimpressive black levels. It is however vibrant in color and looks much better than any older LCD TVs from that era. This is one of the smallest Plasmas ever made and is also quite rare. Paid $20 for it on facebook marketplace and i was pleasantly surprised how good 6th and 7th gen consoles look on it.
Also excuse the PS2 lol i should’ve put my wii or PS3 there to make it more late 2000s accurate but i was too lazy to disconnect and remove them from the display organizer.
