Connecting PS5 to simhub for motion rig

I have a ps5 running f1 2025/6 and GT7. Telemetry turned on and UDP ports opened on firewall. Both on same wifi network.

When I run the game, simhub shows the status; running, paused, waiting for data etc. so it is connected, but the actuators never move.

Tried turning off firewall, restarting and updating everything, changing port.

Actuators are setup correctly. Works fine when testing manually. What is the cause? Anyone have this issue?

Thanks so much!

What’s the age demographic of sim racers here?

I’ve been getting a lot of jokes from friends and family who take the piss that i’m in my mid 30’s and have a sim setup at home. Even more so since i’m upgrading to a proper full dedicated motion sim in another room. Apparently i’m too old for it…

My response is always “laugh all you want, but at least I have some hobbies. I don’t care what people think of it so long as i’m having fun”.

Got me thinking, what’s the age demographic of this sub? Do ‘older’ people get similar jibes?

Which motion rig is better? HnMotion V2 or eRacing Lab RS Mega+?

RS Mega+ is 2/3 of the price of HNMotion where I am. Would you go for that? Or is HNMotion worth the increase?

Most concerned about noise, smoothness of operation, high pitched whine they sometimes make etc. i have read/watched lots of reviews but no one has tried both. So interested in comments from this sub!

They seem near identical on paper other than the housing design.

Cheers
