Basically, this is about the possible privatization of Real Madrid. Essentially, Riquelme argues that Florentino Pérez is pushing for changes to the club's statutes to concentrate power in a foundation and reduce the influence of club members. He also criticizes the lack of transparency in the electoral process, alleging advantages for the official candidate and difficulties for the opposition. He also adds that, had an alternative candidate not emerged, the sale or privatization of the club would be much further along.
