Ad Astra

been having some health issues and one of my symptoms is real bad tinnitus. have taken to sleeping with airpods in at night and listening to Starset. Something about Ad Astra hit me different last night and I saw this in my minds eye and wanted to paint it.

"Ad astra, infinitum
On a burning sun
Fare thee well, broken heart
I hope you find love "

Tinnitus is SO bad

I just started Cromolyn this week (Monday) and last night (Wednesday) I didn't put it in my water before eating popcorn cause it's on my safelist (I didn't realize it had been popped in coconut oil and im sensitive to coconut) and I knew I had about an hour before I needed to take it at bedtime.

I thought I was safe.

However, about 2 hours after the popcorn and an hour after taking my bedtime dose, the tinnitus got so loud I thought my head was going to explode. It started triggering a real bad migraine which lead into a panic attack.

So far, today im back in my routine but the Tinnitus just keeps being SO LOUD. Like the loudest its ever been.

does anyone have anything they've tried to help? do i just need to put in earbuds and listen to stuff to drown it out or is there anything else you've tried that seemed to work?

My Demons + the 9 of Swords

I made this design a while back and recently wanted to tweak some things. I was going to get it as a tattoo, but a recent diagnosis of some health things is kinda made that not a thing now.

so I wanted to offer it back up here to y'all to use for a phone wallpaper or whatever you want <3 if you're not sure if you can use it for something, you're welcome to DM and i'll let you know if you can <3

now the TL;DR on what it means to me:

I've got C-PTSD that resulted in a life long suffering of night terrors. Not sleep paralysis. Night terrors. I could scream, punch, and some times run and slam into a wall lol

For a long time I didn't know they were due to an event in my childhood with my dad, until I started EMDR therapy and found the root.

Around about that time, I also moved to a new state and things went downhill fast. It was a pretty dark time. Then a friend linked me "My Demons" and I swear it changed something in my brain chemistry. Between the lyrics and the music end of it, I was immediately hooked.

I'm also into tarot and the 9 of swords is basically a card that means "fear, anxiety and mental anguish" and shows someone sitting up in bed with the swords behind them. However, my favorite tarot deck by Xiahunt, has three ravens being stabbed by them.

and it was that one line and me being an artist, I really wanted to convey the lyrics in it, and this is what I came up with. I was really excited to get it as a tattoo, but can't now due to an MCAS diagnosis and skin issues that go along with it. now I send it out to the universe in case someone needs it like I did <3

----

as an aside, I'd love for this to be a general art post for others to share what they've made and talk about it <3

Hello my Witches!

My familiar, Poopsteak (real name was Pippin, but we only used his full name when he was in trouble lol), passed last August and after grieving, a new spiritual familiar has approached me; the Fox.

Ever since I realized this and had it confirmed, I keep thinking about the marking on the back of Poopsteak's neck. For some reason my brain seems to think there is a symbol or something resembling it out there that might connect it to a fox, but really, I'm just curious what y'all might see. I personally see an arrowhead, but I'd love feedback from others who maybe specialize in tea readings or things involving abstract shapes. I'm a very literal person sometimes, almost TOO literal, so I'd love to know what you see or if you can locate the "fox marking" my brain seems to think might be out there somewhere.
