How do you actually find a mechanic you can trust in Melbourne? Tired of dealership prices

Been driving a European car for 3 years now, and honestly, the dealership experience has been cooked from day one.

Last month, I took it in for a routine service and walked out $1,100 lighter. No breakdown of what was done, just a bill. Asked the service guy to explain the charges, and he basically gave me a brochure smile and said, "That's standard for your model."

Mate.

A friend mentioned that independent specialists exist who actually know European cars as well as dealers do, but charge way less. Started looking around Melbourne's east, but honestly, I don't know how to tell a good one from a dodgy one.

So, how do you guys find a mechanic you actually trust? What do you look for? Any red flags that made you walk out immediately?

Keen to hear real experiences, not just Google reviews, which feel half fake anyway.

3CX provider for a small retail business in Melbourne?

Hey everyone,

I run a small retail + e-commerce business in Melbourne, and recently, my customer calls have increased quite a bit, so my current phone setup is getting pretty messy.

I've been looking into 3CX, but I'm not sure which setup would work best for a small business. The features I mainly need are:

  • Customer support calling
  • Staff being able to attend calls from their mobiles (we're not always at the desk)
  • Simple call routing like press 1 for orders, press 2 for returns
  • Nothing too expensive or complicated to manage

Would love to know  3CX cloud vs on-premise, which is better for a small setup? And can anyone recommend a Melbourne-based provider who actually works with small businesses, not just enterprise clients?

Any experience appreciated
