Is this "normal" at y'alls stores? I keep seeing the SM and one other Coach doing all the resetting of action alley. The People Lead and the Front End Coach are regularly doing OGP work along with team leads pulled away from their areas. The Auto Coach is regularly covering for maintenance.

Along with Coaches regularly covering people's breaks is this not primarily work below their paygrade? Why is this not considered understaffed?

At stores that still do the instore prepaid activations this is the device we use instead of the old WARP computer. Hopefully this helps clear up some confusion.

Update on rumors concerning changes to Wireless.

Said rumours mentioned in the prior post have been discussed vigorously with my store's management and market management. Paired with this most recent mod change(shown above) including instore prepaid activation promos good for the next several months and no change to the Wireless Toolkit on the Wire our only conclusion assuming good faith from the people telling these rumours at other local stores is a misunderstanding of pilot programs at Test Stores. This is a frustrating reality that ideas Walmart would like to work may show up at some stores then the news gets spreads around but they dont get rolled out at all stores till years later or the idea gets scrapped.

So I have a friend who works at a Walmart a couple of towns over from mine. Long story short they told me about some supposed changes to cell phones in electronics being done nationwide and Im kinda incredulous about the claims.

They told me that their Team Lead and Coach took a trip to home office and while there they learned the WSPs like Premium, OSL, and 20/20 were no longer going to be allowed to do anything but sell postpaid phone accounts in an effort to boost profits and help make Walmart a destination for affluent customers(in this case cell phone users). They also claimed prepaid phones were going to start being loaded into selfserve vending machines at all Walmarts??? Is there anything to these claims or is this just a crazy story that my friend believed was real? I asked my Teamlead about all this but he's heard nothing like that. For that matter I've been told information fairly recently that directly contradicts it.

I can't understand why, if we're all working together. Why hoard printers and batteries? You complain now about having all the claims...I try to pull my weight. You're just adding more work for yourself, congratulations.

So here is the deal. Walmart home office and Verizon decided the Straighttalk reps were redundant. Mosaic(a division of Acosta) is going to come in and train the Walmart associates and the WSP(Premium, OSL, or 20/20) partner on the the current deals, promotions, etc. There will be 0 touching of phones outside of the box or migration of data but Walmart intends for both associates(when the WSP isn't in store) and the WSP to perform the promo barcode generation through the elo tablet and for the Entertainment associates to be trained and knowledgeable about the product along with your WSP partner.
