I joined the club!

I picked up my Nx500 Friday, and took her out to the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia.

What a ride!

Being 55 years old I don't need a 1100cc racing machine anymore. This Honda ticks all the boxes :not too heavy, can handle the occasional gravel roads I encounter, nimble enough and handles extremely well.

Looking forward to much more riding here in Victoria!

Today I ordered mine! I have been looking into bikes for a long time and finally decided on the Nx500. One more week and then I can drive it!

When will Australia get the MY2026?

I have been pondering ordering the Transalp for some time. So yesterday I drove down to the local Honda dealer, who tried to sell me a 2025 model. When I said I wanted the new one, he said he had no idea when they would arrive in Australia. So I might just as well buy the 2025.

Does anybody have an idea of the launch date here down under? Or even why we are so behind?

Why pay for trains?

Today I was travelling back home on the Melbourne - Geelong line, when a whole group of 16-18 year olds boarded. Later, when the conductor came by to check the Mykis, it turned out over half the group had not checked in. They weren't bothered by that at all; they all had an attitude of "and what are you going to do about it?"

The answer was: nothing. The conductor just shrugged, said OK and continue going through the carriages.

So I get it that people and especially guys in that age group see no reason to pay for their trip.

I am not brought up that way so I continue to tap in and out, but my question is : why don't these people get a fine? What's the point of having a conductor of they can't or won't do anything?
