Experiencias y consejos crashbars

Hola a todos! Escribo para preguntaros si vale la pena y experiencias tanto negativas como positivas de crashbars. Tengo una TA750 y estaba pensando en instalarle las que cubren el carenado pero no se si harán su trabajo o posibles daños mayores.

I Thought I Wanted a Transalp

I thought I wanted a transalp but i bought a KTM790 Adventure.

Both are suitable for riders a bit too short for many mid sized adventure bikes. Both have low centre of gravity.

KTM key advantages:
- tubeless tires, so i have a chance of continuing a trip if I get a flat
- cruise control. An incredible advantage there is often the opportunity to use it. This was the dominant factor in selecting the KTM. I don’t know what Honda is thinking not offering this on a servo-operated throttle. Probably would have lived with tubed tires on the Transalp were cruise control available.

In my country only 2025 models were available. Which means no eclutch and an extra year of immediate depreciation. The KTM quick shifter is good. I imagine the eclutch is better.

Honda of course has a better reputation for quality but a much shorter warranty.

The KTM is louder than I like.

Just wanted to show my new bike after 1 month of owning it and all the things I did to it. It's been ridden 2000km (1250 miles) and I don't regret waiting for the Honda Transalp 2026 E-Clutch at all. I love it.

It's my first new bike.

Day one I replaced the OEM fairings with an R-tech fairings kit, added SW Motech handguards, crash bars, and panniers.

I added a top case for work and use Mosko Moto bags for camping.

I replaced the fairings, etc., mostly because I will drop it off-road, which has already happened.

Same reason I ordered a bagster leather tank cover.

I'm also looking for a higher-mounted exhaust, which would need to fit behind the pannier rack. The second picture shows the Dominator MX2 at €299. Any oppinion on the brand?

I loved my old African 750, and this feels a lot like the same bike but with more oomph.

Also, I do get some reactions that others think it looks like a police bike due to the colors. Maybe I'll get a bright yellow NJC helmet as well, haha.

An ode to my PD06

Took pretty pictures and figured fellow Transalp enthusiasts might enjoy

Ontario Canada quiet country roads.

Once you stop and pull off the helmet, the quiet makes ya want to lay down in the grass and sleep.

Avg. Fuel Consumption Problem on 2023 TA

Hi,

As the title says, I have this problem for around 300 kms. The display shows 204L/100km avg. fuel comsumption and It was like 299L/100km when It started happening. It keeps happening and slowly drops to normal values, does anyone know why is this happening?

Input from anyone with an OEM comfort seat

Recently purchased an OEM comfort seat from an online Honda dealer. Just wondering if other owners have terrible fitment like mine. There’s a massive gap that basically creates a window to the top of the battery. I can confirm that it’s installed on the 4 hooks & gas tank peg. My first thought was that it’s a counterfeit but the seat, plastic molding, and packaging look genuine. I reached out to the seller about this; they test fit another seat on a transalp in house & mentioned that a few others are experiencing similar fitment. My only thought is that it was designed for earlier years and some sort minor change on the 25 caused poor fitment. I verified the part number on the package matched what Honda Dreamshop called for. I’d appreciate input from others with this seat, Thanks!

What is this? And is it safe or should I get it covered?

Hi fellow riders. As per title. Today I noticed this uncovered copper wire. Is it safe to ride like this or the moment it gets water I’m fucked? TA 750 XL 2025

Wet and windy

Wee bit wet and windy today in the Scottish hills, still good fun though.

Much needed detour on the commute

Sometimes it's worth the extra hour to get home after work, especially on a Friday 😁

Passenger Handles

Made some updates on the rear end and looking for some low profile passenger handles. I've searched around the Internet, but haven't found anything other than the kind of bulky ones from Transalp ADV. I know there was a reddit post from a year ago about this, but curious if anyone has found anything since then?

6600km - engine light on; ignition coil and sparkplugs

Hello fellow Transalp owner,

At around 6,600 km on the clock, the engine light turned solid orange. The garage is telling me I need a new ignition coil and spark plugs.

I found this really surprising considering how new the bike is (2025 model - previously a demo bike. I bought it at 850km)

What could cause the ignition coil and spark plugs needing replaced? Especially as spark plugs are normally required to be changed between 24,000 km and 48,000 km.

Question for the community:

Has anyone experienced this?

Can I expect this to be covered by the warranty?
