[Question] is it worth to finance a second bike, having a debt on the first one?

I'm still paying off my first motorcycle and have 17 months of payments left. Now I want the Transalp 750 and can pay for it in 12 installments. I can afford both motorcycles. But it will be a bit of a struggle to pay for them, and I'll still have about $350 (I live in a cheap country) to spend freely after paying all my monthly bills.

My reasoning is that the time I've had won't come back, and since I'm still young, I can live for a year or so on a small budget to seize the moment and get the motorcycle I want.

In the worst-case scenario, I can sell both motorcycles and it won't be a problem, since I only use them for the pure pleasure of commuting to work and more.

So, should I finance the other motorcycle and have two debts?

Should I sell my first motorcycle to pay off my first debt and use the extra money to finance the Transalp?

Or should I pay off my first debt in installments and then, after 17 months, buy the Transalp?

I would like to receive advice from people who have been in a similar situation.

I want to buy the Transalp 750 e-clutch, should I sell my first bike?

I have a 2023 Honda Adv 350 with only 7,500 km on it, and I use it to commute and for lane spliting in and out of traffic around town. My Adventure is fantastic, and when I took it to the shop, they lent me a 2026 Transalp 750 with an electronic clutch.

I fell in love with it. The power, the comfort, the stability.

The same day I got it, I rode it for 300 km, and it was incredible.

After returning it, the Honda employee told me they could accept my 2023 Adv 350 as a trade-in for almost 35% off the total of the Transalp 750

I can buy the Transalp regardless of its condition, but I'll have to pay for it in installments over a year.

But my father, who is passionate about motorcycles, told me I should appreciate my first bike, since he misses his 90cc Yamaha, the first one he ever bought. And he sold it

I want to spend time with my 61-year-old dad. I'm 27.

I'm debating between buying the Transalp and keeping my ADV 350, buying the Transalp and selling the ADV 350, or my latest idea:

buying all the modifications for the ADV 350, like

the Malossi Multivar system, the clutch, and the SC Project exhaust, to modify my ADV 350 with my dad and fine-tune it for better performance.

What do you guys recommend me?

I need recomendation. Honda ADV350

I would like to change my Honda ADV 350 for a bigger bike, I use it mostly on the city, in my country we can lane split and with my bike I can do it easly.

I tried to go out on the highway with my current bike but it was kind of scary as most truck push air towards me and move me a little bit. Also in slow to mid speeds I could overtake fine. But agains a car over 100km/h it was imposible. So that is why I’m not using it a lot (better to say never) on the highway.

I would like to use a bike on my daily comute and to use it when ever I want to go out in the highway safetly

My options to change are the Honda NX500 e-clutch, Honda Transalp 750 e-clutch and the Suzuki V-Storm 650. I’m going to try the TA. And check if it makes me feel more safe on the highway and is capeble to daily comute because I appreciate my bike to be capable of lane splitting

Also I would like to know if is safe to change from a 350 to a 750 or a 650. I have to say I’m really a chill rider that likes to live and not be a daredevil

I can buy all of the bikes the problem that I have is I do not want to spend money on something that is way to much more that I can no use easly on my daily commute or spend money on something that will feel the same as my adv 350

Without much more to say thank you for your time and if you answer I appreciated
