I’m [24M] interested in a [33F] who works at a boutique — should I make a move or leave it alone?
So basically, I’m 24 and there’s this woman I really like who’s around 32-33. We’ve started talking a little bit and she seems really interesting and mature, but I sometimes feel like she might see me as too young for her.
I personally don’t care about the age gap, but I’m curious what people honestly think — can women in their early [30s] seriously be interested in a 24 year old guy?
Another thing is, as far as I can tell, she doesn’t really use social media. No Instagram, no Facebook, or at least I can’t find anything. So that completely removes the usual option of casually messaging her online and building some communication that way.
The situation is also kinda specific because she works in a boutique. I obviously can’t keep going there every day or every other day just to buy random stuff and talk to her, because that would quickly become weird and creepy, and that’s the last thing I want.
That’s why I’m making this post, because I genuinely don’t know what the most normal way to approach this situation is.
We’ve had a few really pleasant interactions so far. She remembers me, sometimes says hi first, smiles, we’ve talked briefly about random things, and one time I complimented her tattoo and she reacted really nicely. But at the same time, I’m aware that she works with customers, so maybe she’s simply friendly and I don’t want to imagine signals that aren’t actually there.
So I’m curious what people with more experience think — how do you even build a more natural connection with someone who you only see at their workplace, without coming across as pushy or awkward? And if it even makes sense, how would you naturally get to the point of asking her out for a drink?
TL;DR: 24M interested in a 33F who works at a boutique, unsure how to approach her or start a conversation.
