Wandi Pub [Hasselblad 503CX, Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 CT*, Lucky Color C200]
Pretty darn impressed with Lucky Color C200. For a new film, the results are great and didn't require a bunch of finagling after scanning to get it looking how I wanted, unlike certain other new colour negative stocks which are still in the "experimental" or "test batch" phase.
It has a very warm tone, perfect for the autumnal surrounds of alpine Australia earlier this year.
What an amazing future...
Yes please, daddy Sony, give me the discless future!!
Edit: for the dullards here who are saying "iT'S ReGuLaRlY cHePeR oN OnLiNe SaLeS", you need to realise that regions outside the United States exist and that they may not have the same prices.
For instance, I am in Australia and this version of CoD:CW is usually $109.95 and has never been cheaper than $38.40 on the PlayStation Store. Indeed it went almost the whole of 2025 without ever being on sale. Whereas I can simply walk into a shop and buy the disc for $35 at any time.
Have a bit of curiosity, folks.
Four years of almost daily use vs. brand new
I've had my 585s for just gone four years now and they have been the best footwear I've ever owned. In the past, I've gone through lots of different boots (for a lot of different sums of money) and gotten max, a year of good use out of them before some kind of—at best—repair was needed or—at worst—replacement.
I can't believe how well my 585s have lasted after four years of almost daily use commuting, bushwalking, gardening, house repairing etc. I'm particularly impressed with how well the heel has held up as this was the part that usually failed first on all my other boots.
When my socks started getting a little damper than usual, I was very sad to find a small hole in the leather where it upper meets the midsole (right about where the toes flex).
But it's not a permanent goodbye, for they will be officially reassigned to gardening and other odds and ends around the home.
My new pair of 585s are so...I dunno...crisp and firm compared to my old pair. I can't wait to break them in and give them the same character my beloved old pair earned.
It’s time. It’s time. It’s time. It’s time.

Hands-down the creepiest moment of the entire first series for me. Bravo.
298M at Newport
It's been too long between Hitachis here, so here's 298M in its stainless steel glory at the Newport Open Days this year.

There are two wolves inside you...
...one is eleven months of wolves; the other is a car crash for some reason...and we're just going to keep it up on the wall for some reason!
Such a great spot with the morning light streaming in.
