I’d like to propose creating a dedicated thread for members to report when their embassy contacts them or schedules an interview. Having a single, central place for updates would make it much easier for everyone to track active timelines
We could also do a google sheet with original interview date, location , and reinterview date.

I thought it was 17:00 ET or is it pacific? I waited a whole week for this come on
I was checking my recovery and seem to have lost it for those exact 60 days. It’s there before that and after. I am also sure they were there before, and I checked them every day of those 60 but now poof, they are gone.
So I am now in the US and my wife whom I adore is in her country. I am currently at a job that I really like, I have an amazing boss and everything (probably not the pay) is great about this job. I have had my fair share of shitty jobs and this took a while. My wife’s interview was on the 2nd of February and we have been “paused” ever since.
I guess my question is what would be a good deadline to quit my job and move to her country. I told her before June but then the cases looked promising and I thought we postpone it. I am thinking of September and we have not heard anything by then I will quit.
She has lost all hope and is asking me to quit now off course. She thinks this continues until the next election.
What is everyone’s take on this?
Anyone do the same? How was your experience?
I just realized today that this “pause” has me really hating the weekend. I hate seeing it approach, and I always want Monday to come sooner because that’s when there’s a possibility for the pause to lift. I don’t think Judge Vargas will reach a verdict on a weekend, and the government is extremely unlikely to lift it or make any changes anyways, and even less likely to do so on a weekend.
I know some of you need some hope and think they called it a pause because they will unpause it eventually. YOU ARE WRONG.
It’s called a pause this time because, the last time Trump was in office, the ban did not hold. We even saw that with the 39-country ban. They’re calling it a pause as an attempt to have it hold longer.
They update the public charge rule so they can show they’re doing something. But all they’re really doing is stalling. They’re almost done with the public charge rule, so now they’re changing the medical exam rule instead of doing them in parallel, just to waste more time.
Also, remember that Thanksgiving tweet by Trump saying he would indefinitely pause immigration. He’s basically spelling it out for you.
It’s one thing to be an optimist and another to be naive.

The only way through this is by fighting. We need media attention. We need lawsuits. We need to email and talk to our representatives.
If we give the government the benefit of the doubt then the form should lift the pause. Anyone know what page I can obsessively refresh to look for news?
I cannot stand this much longer. I really am trying and hate to share negativity. So maybe I should just ask, are the judges waiting on each other. We have not heard from STORIE and that was briefed before CLINIC. Is this what they mean by courts take forever?
So can Judge Vargas release a verdict during the weekend? Thats basically my question.So I can stop refreshing the sub. I did not know I was in such a bad place until I wrote this.

I am up early, missing my wife a little extra and started dreaming up scenarios for when the pause eventually lifts.
I would say we will need 2 weeks for the medical exam and then maybe another week for the visa at the embassy. Another week for the passport to post to and from the embassy.
Do you think it will be straight forward as just posting the passport or will another interview need to be scheduled? I am more inclined to the former since they did seem to be insistent that we do our interviews.
So realistically it should take around a 4-6 weeks.
So if the pause were to be lifted tomorrow it would take till around August before they can join us in the US?
I know most probably it’s going to be refused. My wife did apply for a B1/B2 and got refused while her I-130 was pending. But now that she is paused. Do you think she has a chance of getting a visa? It’s very difficult for me to travel and leave work, and I am already out of paid leave. Anyone try this?
This just really shows how many of us are suffering.
We are navigating the system for 9+ years and when we got just this close to the end, the consular put us on administrative processing (because she just needed some time to review our case as there is a lot going on with the case). This was on Nov 5, 2025 before any pause applies. We couldn't make it out of the administrative process before 1/21/2016 when this pause took place and we were cleared on 3/17/2026 and yet no visa and we have to wait (for who knows how long) till this pause is lifted.
Very devastating and extremely stressful.
