Both my Instagram and Facebook accounts got suspended today for “account integrity” issues. Honestly, I think it happened because I went a little too hard with follow/unfollow and sending DMs.

Most of the DMs were actually me reaching out to alumni from German universities to ask about the real ground reality regarding studies, jobs, expenses, life there, etc. Not running some scam operation 😭

Okay fine... I did DM a few girls too, but definitely not at mass-spam level xD

I already submitted an appeal, completed selfie verification and ID verification as well. Right now, it says they’re reviewing my account.

What’s confusing me is that my Facebook account also got suspended, even though I literally never use Facebook. Is it because my Instagram and Facebook accounts are connected through Meta Accounts Centre?

Has anyone here recovered their account after this type of suspension?

Do accounts usually come back after a few days, or should I mentally prepare to lose this one forever and create a new account?

Would really appreciate honest experiences from people who’ve gone through this.
