Im changing my ignition cables and distributor cap, i just disassembled everything at once, could someone tell me where i should place the cables? I know its 1-3-4-2 but i dont know where 1 is (picture is before i removed it, but i dont know which is which)
Hi, I have a new (old) W124 with an M102.982 2.3 that feels very weak and has poor acceleration, also misfires on idle and traffic driving
Cold starts fine and I don’t notice any misfire when cold.
Things I’ve noticed:
- Runs around 55–60°C according to the gauge
- Brown/beige coolant, doesn’t look or smell like oil
- No catalytic converter
- Lambda sensor in the exhaust manifold has a cut wire and isn’t connected, previous owner states its a manifold from a diffrent car
- Possible vacuum leak in the headlight-leveling system
I’m planning to check vacuum leaks, ignition, fuel filter, thermostat/coolant system and fuel pressure/KE-Jetronic.
What would you check first, and what are the common causes of low power on the M102.982?
Something seems odd with my headlights. The outer angel eye ring lights up normally, but the inner ring is only illuminated when the high beams are on. With the parking lights/daytime running lights on, the inner ring does not light up at all.
As far as I know, there are no aftermarket LED angel eye bulbs installed.
Is this normal for pre-LCI halogen headlights, or is something missing or faulty?
Also, this is the newest car i have owned, so i have no idea how it works other than a bulb for each ring, on the internet it says i have xenon but im not sure.
