Is automated workout equipment worth it if you are always short on time?

Been going to the gym for a year now and I usually have about half an hour to exercise. The frustrating part is that I spend a good portion of that time deciding what to do, adjusting weights and trying to remember what I trained last week. That's why automated workout equipment has caught my attention. If a system can organize the workout, adjust resistance and keep track of progress without me thinking about it, it sounds like it could make those 30 minutes much more productive.

Anyone regret buying a setup for muscle building at home instead of joining a gym?

I've been debating this for months. A gym membership is obviously cheaper upfront but I know myself well enough to admit that convenience usually determines whether I actually work out. I'm considering investing in equipment for muscle building at home instead but it's a pretty big purchase. My biggest concern is whether I'll still be using it six months from now or if it'll become another expensive piece of furniture.

Anyone else spending more time changing weights than lifting?

I have been doing more workouts at home lately and one thing that is started to annoy me is how often I stop to swap weights between sets or exercises. It does not sound like much, but by the time I have adjusted everything, I feel like I have lost my rhythm. Sometimes I wonder if I am spending more time setting up as I am lifting.

Has anyone found a good way to make strength workouts flow better? Do you just organise your routine differently or is there equipment that helps?

Is automated workout equipment worth it for people who struggle to stick to a fitness routine?

I have been looking into automated workout equipment because I feel like one of barriers to working out is all the planning that happens before the workout even starts. Choosing exercises, deciding how much weight to use, tracking progress and figuring out when to make changes can sometimes feel like more work than the workout itself. That is why the idea of automated workout equipment is interesting to me. If a system can handle some of those decisions itself, it seems like it could make training simple. For anyone who has used automated workout equipment, was it worth the investment?
